Partner with Kimco Coffee for fine Ugandan Robusta

We know coffee! Fine Robusta grown and processed in the beautiful Lwengo District of Central Uganda - from the heart of the African Rift Valley.
Not only do we source coffee beans from 104 small-holder farmers from our district, but we also grow our own coffee, and process all Kimco coffee on our estate.
Looking after our coffee starts with selecting the best seeds, nurturing the seedlings and tending to our coffee trees 365 days a year.
We use banana trees as shade trees and we have bee hives - to promote pollination and biodiversity.
Our farming practices include mulching, digging trenches, stumping, use of organic fertilisers, pruning, planting of shade trees, pest control and planting new trees.
Start of harvest is signalled by the deep red colour of the cherries - from the start of April (from the first full moon) to the end of November (when the heavy rains start. At this stage, the pulp tastes sweet and juicy.

For our natural dry processed Robusta, only the red cherries are hand-picked, sorted, cleaned, floated, dried on raised beds, hulled, graded, packed in jute bags and stored in an appropriate place until ready for sale, or roasted and packaged for local supply.
For our wet processed Robusta; again, only the red cherries are hand-picked, sorted, cleaned, floated, pulped, fermented, washed, dried on raised beds, hulled, sorted, packed and stored until ready for sale, or roasting and packaging for local supply.
We use our own wash station and hulling factory all located on the farm - ensuring absolute freshness of our coffee, maintaining the most intense flavours.
We produce 40,000 tonnes per year of green bean, ground coffee, and roasted beans - cupping at 81+.
